In observing nature, one can examine the process of growth, regeneration, death, and rebirth. This natural cycle mimics closely the human experience through the various stages of life. Man and Nature are physical metaphors of each other, and both rely on forms of transformation. This link between the two creates a creative framework from which to draw inspiration.

Combining earthly and ephemeral materials, the works represent elements of creation. Earth, Air, Water, and Fire, are transmuted into a single object. This fusion is represented through the processes of welding, casting, blowing, and fusing. Light invests the works with an internal life and a sense of time. As light varies with passing hours, the piece visually transforms as well, mimicking in a more dramatic sense the natural rhythms of nature. The visual results are works that have a rich and complex visual life, capturing and eternalizing the moment and beauty of transformation.
